It’s not only newspaper photographers who are losing jobs: The U.S. Navy is eliminating its two Combat Camera (COMCAM) units this year in order to save money and resources, reports Navy Times. The two units are Fleet Combat Camera (based in San Diego, California) and Expeditionary Combat Camera (based in Norfolk, Virginia). The units will be gone by October 1. Combat Camera photographers tasked with shooting both military operations and stories about the Navy for the public, notes PetaPixel.
